Annette Parnell, PT, DPT, MS
Annette received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2011 from Northeastern University and a Masters of Physical Therapy in 2007 from Northern Illinois University. She began working at Hope Rehab in April 2013.
Annette specializes in functional manual therapy and received her training through the Institute of Physical Art. She also specializes in pelvic rehab for both male and female and received her training through Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute. Annette is also trained in Trigger Point Dry Needling.
Annette enjoys the outdoors and stays active with hiking, swimming, skiing, Cross fit and yoga. She enjoys being a wife and a mother of two.
Barbara Boyett, PT, DPT
Barb received her BS in Physical Therapy from the University of North Dakota in 1983 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2014.
Barb opened Hope Rehab Katy in September 2003. She and her husband, Tom, own and operate the practice together.
Barb specializes in orthopedic manual therapy, dry needling and vestibular rehabilitation. Barb is an Assistant Instructor with KinetaCore, a dry needling education company. She served as an officer in the USAF early in her career. She also worked in Washington and Montana before moving to Katy in 1993.
Barb and Tom have 3 grown children. They live in Cinco Ranch and are members at Second Baptist Church.
Brittney Roberts, PTA
Brittney received her BS in Exercise Sports Science from Texas State University in 2006 and her PTA degree from Wharton County Junior College in 2008. Brittney began working at Hope Rehab Katy in 2014.
Brittney has worked predominately in outpatient clinics with a wide variety of injuries and diagnoses. She holds the following certifications:
- Kinesiotape – KT1, KT2 and KT3
- Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) Level 1
- Certificate in Aquatic Physical Therapy Clinical Competency
- Clinical Instructor (CI) Certified
Brittney enjoys being with family, fishing, hunting, biking, hiking, being outdoors, travelling, & music.
Chelsea Chavez-Martinez, Front Office Assistant,
was born in Wyoming and raised in Texas and has lived here all her life. In her free time, she enjoys working out. She began working at the age of fifteen at a Hair Salon and graduated high school with her cosmetology license. She is currently continuing her education in early childhood development. She began working with Hope Rehab Katy in 2015 and is proficient in front desk, scheduling and customer service. Chelsea is excited to continue to learn and perfect her professional skills.
helsea Turgeon, PT, DPT
Chelsea received her Doctorate in Physical therapy from Lynchburg College, VA in 2014 and her BS from Immaculata University in 2011. She began working at Hope Rehab in 2016.
Chelsea is the manager at Hope Rehab Katy- Grand Parkway. She has extensive experience working with orthopedic, vestibular and concussion patients, especially with return to sport and rehab for mild TBI. She completed her Vestibular Rehab Competency. She is certified in Graston Technique for soft tissue work and trained in Functional Dry Needling.
Chelsea currently is a head coach for an AAU 9th grade basketball team. She played collegiate basketball for Immaculata University. Her husband, Travis, is a coach for Cinco Ranch HS.
Cindy Cochrane, PT
Cindy received her BS in Physical Therapy from LSU School of Allied Health in 1985. She began working at Hope Rehab Katy in August 2008.
Cindy specializes in working with pediatric, aquatic and vestibular rehabilitation and is trained in LSVT Big for Parkinson’s patients. She also works with general orthopedic and neuro patients.
Cindy enjoys gardening, knitting, reading, and baking. She has lived in England and Holland and originally is from New Orleans. She is a member of Epiphany Catholic Church and she and her husband have 5 children.
Elizabeth Miko Anderson, PT, DPT
Miko received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in May 2017 and began working at Hope Rehab Katy in 2017.
Miko’s passion for physical therapy stems from her family. Miko is a proud older sister to a brother on the autism spectrum. Miko has experience in treating orthopedic conditions, vestibular disorders, and excels in working with children with special needs.
Miko danced (ballet, tap, jazz, clogging, and Mexican folk dancing) through high school and taught dance while in college. Miko enjoys running distance races. She has won her age bracket for both the Katy Turkey Dash and Katy half marathon!
F. Dean Carr, PT
Dean received his BS from the Univ. of Nebraska in 1964 and his certificate in Physical Therapy from Hermann School of Physical Therapy in 1965.
Dean has practiced in a wide variety of settings including hospitals where he worked as a staff therapist, assistant administrator and as vice president of the PT division of a national hospital corporation. He has been involved in management of a home healthcare company. More recently, Dean has owned several outpatient orthopedic private practices. Dean recently sold his private practice and now works for Hope Rehab during his “retirement”. Dean specializes in manual therapy of the spine.
Dean enjoys golf, hunting, crafting knives, traveling, wine and shotguns.
James Blake McKenna, PT, DPT
Blake received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of the Incarnate Word in 2019. He received his BS in Kinesiology from Texas A&M in 2016. He began working for Hope Rehab in 2019.
Blake specializes in general orthopedic physical therapy and vestibular rehabilitation. He is trained in functional dry needling.
Blake was recently married to his wife, Elizabeth, whom he met while they were both in physical therapy school. He enjoys playing disc golf, hiking, fishing, and pretty much anything outdoors. He is an Eagle Scout. He is active in his church and is involved in the ministry organization, Young Life.
Jeff Mullins, PTA
Jeff received his PTA degree from San Jacinto College in 2008 and his BS from Midwestern State University in 2003. He began working at Hope Rehab Katy in 2009.
Jeff specializes in returning athletes to their sport. He holds certifications in:

- Functional Movement Screen
- Y-Balance Testing
- Instrumented Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization
Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and watching the latest action movie. He also enjoys working out and practicing Thai Boxing.
Jennifer Gibbons, PT, DPT
Jenni received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2013. She received her BS from Virginia Tech in 2009. She began working for Hope Rehab in 2018.
Jenni specializes in general orthopedic and sports physical therapy and is skilled in manual therapy. She enjoys helping to restore her patient’s mobility, confidence, and get them back to doing what they love to do!
Jenni enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, running, and exploring the Houston area.
Jennifer Rodriguez, Front Office Assistant
has been with Hope Rehab Katy since 2018. She moved to Katy from New Braunfels and has loved working in the medical field since 2011. She has always had a big heart for caring and helping people in many ways. On her time away from work she is with her soulmate, family, friends and her two fur babies.
Jennifer Webb, PT
Jennifer received her BS degree in Physical Therapy from Texas Women’s University in 1989. She began working at Hope Rehab Katy in 2003.
Jennifer has over 30 years of experience in orthopedics, acute care, work rehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation, manual therapy and exercise prescription. She is trained in the McKenzie and Maitland techniques for soft tissue and joint mobilization.
Jennifer enjoys bible study, competitive running, cycling and swimming, and volunteers for the Humane Society and Special Olympics. She also has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and was nationally ranked 16th while competing in Triathlons.
Karim Sadiwala, PT, DPT
Karim received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Women’s University in 2016 and began working at Hope Rehab Katy in 2016.
Karim completed his Orthopedic Manual Therapy certification in September 2017. He is trained in Functional Dry Needling. Karim is proficient in treating all body parts, but specifically enjoys treating knees, hips, shoulders, and ankles. He was a licensed massage therapist for eight years prior to achieving his physical therapy degree.
Karim enjoys yoga, meditation, and weight training.
Kristin Jury, PT, OCS
Kristin received her Master of Physical Therapy from Governors State University in 1999. She received her BS in Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1997. Kristin began working at Hope Rehab in 2011.
Kristin is certified as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) through the APTA. She has extensive training treating orthopedic patients and is a highly experienced manual therapist. She is also trained in the treatment of lymphedema.
Kristin is a former competitive swimmer. She also enjoys running, triathlons, yoga, spending time with family and volunteering with her three children’s activities.
Maria Drews, PT, DPT
Maria received her MSPT degree from University of Texas Health Science Center in 2008, and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University in 2019. She began working at Hope Rehab Katy in October 2011.
Maria has extensive experience in general orthopedic physical therapy and neuro rehabilitation. She specializes in vestibular rehabilitation and in treating pelvic floor dysfunctions for women and men. She also has been trained in LSVT Big for Parkinson’s rehabilitation.
Maria enjoys cycling and walking with her husband, two boys and two dogs in the evenings. She is a member of St. Peter’s UMC in Katy.
Noel Shepard, Office Manager
has worked for Hope Rehab Katy since October 2003. She lives in Katy with her son, Austin. Noel moved here from San Diego, California in 1998 and has worked in the medical field since 1995.
Patricia Noriega, PT
Patricia received her BS in Physical Therapy at Metropolitan University at Barranquilla, Columbia in 1989. She began working at Hope Rehab Katy in 2009, moving here from New York.
Patricia is bilingual and works with all orthopedic and neurologically involved patients, but specializes in manual lymphatic drainage, treatment of Bell’s Palsy, and treatment of vestibular patients. She has certifications in Kinesotaping and the Selective Functional Movement Assessment.
Patricia enjoys participating in Body Pump and Zumba. She and her husband work with the Christian Family Movement at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church.
Regina McCready, Insurance Manager
has worked for Hope Rehab Katy since 2009, and has been working in medical practices since 1995. Gina has experience in medical coding, billing, collections and front office duties. She graduated from Aldine High School in 1984, Texas College of Medical and Dental Careers in 1986 as a Medical Assistant and Houston Massage Institute for massage therapy in 2005. Gina has two grown sons and one grandson. She enjoys traveling, meeting new people and making people smile!
Severa Calzada, PT, DPT
Severa received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of St. Augustine in Austin, TX in August 2017 and her BS from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX in 2012. She began working at Hope Rehab Katy in September, 2017.
Severa has experience in the outpatient orthopedic setting, the neurological and acute care settings. She specializes in treating pelvic floor dysfunctions in women. She is dedicated to developing her skills and knowledge of the most current and effective treatments for her patients.
Severa loves singing, dancing and spending time with her family and friends over good food and great conversation. She enjoys staying active through strength training and running.
Sophie Ivy, PT
Sophie received her masters of physical therapy from Ithaca College, NY in 2004. She began working at Hope Rehab Katy in July 2018.
Sophie has experience in outpatient orthopedics, acute care, and home health. She specializes in treating pelvic floor dysfunctions in women.
Sophie was born and raised in Austin, TX and she and her husband are proud parents to three young boys. She enjoys spending time with her family, camping, hiking, biking and lifting weights.
Susan Wibberg, Front Office Assistant
has been with Hope Rehab Katy since 2017. She is a proud mother of two and a grandmother to one. Susan is experienced in Spanish Translation and has worked in the medical field since 1998 as a medical assistant. She Enjoys spending time with her granddaughter or reading a book.
Tom Boyett, Owner & Billing Manager
began working at Hope Rehab Katy in June 2007. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. Tom is a private pilot and enjoys building and flying experimental aircraft, camping, skiing and dabbling in the foreign currency and futures markets.
